Biography:

Nathalia grew up in a family of shooting athletes and was destined for success. Her dad, Bernardo Tobar Ante a legend in Colombia, won the 1990 World Championship in 10m Men’s Air Pistol and is a 4x Olympian in pistol, qualifying for the final three times. Nathalia’s brother, Bernardo Julian Tobar Prado, followed in his footsteps when he competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in 25m Men’s Rapid Fire. After trying numerous other sports including soccer, speed skating, tennis, figure skating, and equestrian, Nathalia finally found shooting at the age of 12.

Nathalia represented Colombia in the 2003 Pan American Games in one of her first ever international competitions where she won the bronze medal in Women’s 25m Sport Pistol. She would continue to compete for Colombia over the next 7 years winning numerous national titles, Central and South American championships, and qualifying for multiple international competitions including the 2007 Pan American Games.

Nathalia moved to the United States in 2011 and began competing for Team USA in 2015 quickly picking up where she left off by winning medals at U.S. national events. She represented Team USA at the 2018 World Championships and again at the 2019 Pan American Games where she qualified for all three finals in the pistol events. Most recently, Nathalia set a new national record in 10m Women’s Air Pistol at the 2025 Camp Perry Open.
